LOOK: NLEX players wear ‘Kevin Strong’ patch to show support on injured Alas
The NLEX Road Warriors showed support to their embattled comrade Kevin Alas as they donned a “Kevin6Strong” patch in their matchup with Phoenix Fuel Masters on Friday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Alas has been ruled out of the season after going down with another ACL tear on the same right knee he injured last season.
The 27-year-old guard hurt his knee during the team’s 87-83 win over the Meralco Bolts in last week’s PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Before suffering a second torn ACL, Alas spent the better part of 2018 trying to recover from the initial injury.
Alas is set to undergo surgery on Saturday.
