Lower UAAP cheerdance prize draws flak on social media

The sudden decrease of cash prize that was implemented in this year’s Cheerdance Competition was met with numerous criticisms.

Filipino netizens were quick to criticize the UAAP’s decision to slash down the cash prize by as much as 85% this Season 81’s cheerdance, saying that they deserve more than what they have won.

UAAP executive director Atty. Rebo Saguisag released a statement regarding the lower cash prize, explaining that it is more of a school pride rather than “monetary gain”.
