Rest assured, Filipina cager Jack Animam will not leave the Philippines to get naturalized in another country.

In an exclusive interview on “Sportalakan”, the 22-year old center said that the reason why she accepted a student-athlete scholarship with Shih Hsin University in Taiwan is because she wants to “elevate the Philippine women’s basketball.

“Hindi,” said the Bulacan-native Animam. “Kasi the reason why I’m doing what I’m doing right now is I wanna elevate the Philippine women’s basketball so why would I be a naturalized player to other country if I can play for my own country, ‘di ba?”

Animam recently came off with a dominant stint with SHU where they won a championship in United Basketball Association (UBA).

“Hindi ko iniisip ang mga ganyang bagay basta ako trabaho lang, kung ano ang ipinunta ko rito, kung ano ‘yong sinet kong goal, (‘yon) dapat mangyari,” said the former five-time UAAP champion with NU Lady Bulldogs.
