ALEXANDRA Eala’s recent early exits have prompted some Filipino fans to look beyond her performances on the court and speculate about a possible connection between the colors of her outfits and her fortunes in matches.
A number of fans noticed that Eala appeared to enjoy success while wearing green, where she won the WTA 500 Mudabala DC Open title, while her losses in Toronto Open and Cincinnati Open came when she wore pink.
The observation has since sparked playful discussions online about whether green could be the Filipina tennis star’s “lucky” color.
One fan wrote, “Alex wear green always…” while another suggested that Eala should return to the color for her upcoming matches.
“Pink kasi Green na to maintain winning streak,” another fan commented.
Others took the superstition a step further, with one fan saying, “Balik sa green, malas sa pink…”
Another fan pointed to Eala’s change in attire, writing, “Kasi binago nya yung kulay ng damit nya swete sya sa damit na kulay Green 💚💚💚.”
Some fans even jokingly made the comparison more definitive.
“Oh di ba naka PINK kasi TALO na naman!!! Pink=Talo, Green=Champion Palagi,” one comment read.
Another fan advised Eala to stick with green, saying, “Next time alex, don’t wear pink or red, just wear green.”
The color theory remains nothing more than a fan superstition, but it reflects the growing attention surrounding Eala as her breakthrough 2026 season continues.
Eala recently reached a career-best No. 18 in the WTA live rankings and advanced to the third round of the Cincinnati Open before losing to American Amanda Anisimova in three sets. (By the Staff)
