Mavs’ Luka Doncic Makes History, 2nd Youngest Player To Have Triple-Double
At only 19 years old, Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic is the second-youngest player in the history of NBA to have a triple-double record.
However, Doncic’s 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, were not enough to beat the Milwaukee Bucks. The Mavs lost with 116-106 on Tuesday morning (Manila time).
After the game, Doncic told the reporters that he wasn’t happy with his performance.
“I played bad for sure, I didn’t feel good…” Doncic stated. “I’m happy for my triple double, but I would prefer the win for sure. I didn’t play good at all.”
Markelle Fultz of Philadelphia 76ers also shares the same record. The 76ers guard was younger with 19 years and 317 days old, compared to Doncic’s 19 years and 327 days old.
Doncic joins Dennis Smith Jr. and Jason Kidd in being a rookie accomplishing the feat in the franchise history.
Doncic is tallying 20 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. He is consistently a favorite for Rookie of the Year. (Janiel Abby Toralba)
