Meet the UAAP Mythical 5 Hearthrobs

Basketball is a highly physical game. As the living legend and two-time FIBA Asia Gold Medallist Robert Jaworski once said: Kung ayaw mo masaktan, mag chess ka na lang! But not everything on the hard court hurts. The following five crazy good-looking ballers of the UAAP prove that they can take you high in love just as much in victory.

5. Paolo Javelona

Team: NU Bulldogs
Position: Guard

Hi! ☺️?

Javelona’s best asset is his ability to stop reigning UAAP MVP Kiefer Ravena (Javelona shut Ravena down in last year’s Final Four en route to NU’s title run and Ravena had his worst field goal percentage this season when he is guarded by Javelona). But if you ask us, his small eyes and pointed nose are just as valuable and adorable as his defensive skills. But word of caution: He has a crush on former NU courtside reporter Tricia Robredo.

3. Pio Longa

Team: UP Fighting Maroons
Position: Forward

1st and last NBTC National Finals Championship! ??

You know that guy who looks so innocent that you don’t see him hurting you in anyway? That’s Longa. He has only shown pockets of brilliance from long-distance range due to his limited playing time, but you can’t miss him once he is in because of his angelic look despite his fiery game face eyes.

  2. Louie Vigil Team: UST Growling Tigers Position: Forward

Happy birthday Louie Vigil! ? . . . #uaap #uaap77 #uaapseason77 #louievigil #ust #growlingtigers #uste #themanansala #basketball A photo posted by Follow TheManansala ? (@iamthemanansala) on

Vigil, the former NCAA Jrs. MVP out of JRU, could instantly get you hypnotized with his puppy dog eyes. Think of the eyes of former Gilas captain Jimmy Alapag, but Vigil overall is more of a pretty boy than the Mighty Mouse because he has his luscious lips and perfectly shaped nose to go with those sleepy eyes. And oh, he can shoot on threes and drive to the basket too, which is a blessing for womanhood since we have more chances of seeing his gorgeous face on camera close up.

My favorite #USTTiger this season! My #TigerKing. ☺️????✨? #UST #UAAP77 #LouieVigil #basketball #candid A photo posted by Maris Angelica Ayuyao (@maicaayuyao) on

1. Joshua Torralba

Team: La Salle Green Archers
Position: Forward

Can’t Sleeeeeeep

A photo posted by Joshua Torralba (@joshuatorralba) on

This Torralba is just everything you would want for a Dream Guy (we’d like to say husband but we figured he is still a rookie). His face is flawless, his eyes are piercing and his lips just look so soft, even from a Patron seat in MOA Arena. It’s like he is already looking into your soul if you catch his glance. Yup, it’s that captivating, really. He also had flashes of greatness in the past four games, but he still needs to work on his defensive game and move his feet more to avoid foul trouble. That’s for the sake of La Salle and the fans that would rather see him play and have their hearts melted every time he smiles on a winning moment. P.S. #FreeTheHeadband Josh. It’s good to idolize La Salle legend Mac Cardona, but he does not stack up to your handsome features. The headband just blocks our view of your awesomeness.
