Mela Tunay Blurts Out Disappointment on Some Netizens
While the most players joined forces for a cause, some volleyball fans had the audacity to make fun of a charity event.
In an online auction for the benefit of Jovelyn Gonzaga’s nephew who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, most athletes donated their jerseys for auction.
However, Mela Tunay noticed that some netizens still find the time to make fun of their good intentions. Some were even making derogatory and perverted comments, and worse, insulted the players who joined the auction.
Tunay on twitter pleads with, “PLEASE SPARE THIS PROJECT FOR ANY HATE AND TOXICITY. IT’S FOR A SERIOUS CAUSE.”
Can’t believe there are still a few people who manage to insult players on the auction page.
PLEASE SPARE THIS PROJECT FOR ANY HATE AND TOXICITY. IT’S FOR A SERIOUS CAUSE.
This is one of the things that keep the Volleyball Community peaceful and united, so pls. 🙃
