Menor tries to stage PBA comeback
Veteran cager Ogie Menor is taking it slow in staging a comeback in the professional league.
The former San Beda standout made his reappearance in the basketball scene after suiting up for Batangas in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup on Thursday.
Despite losing to Jeron Teng-led AMA Titans, the 2007 NCAA Finals MVP chipped in nine points in 15 minutes of playing for the squad.
Menor played for six PBA franchises since joining the league in 2009 as the 6th overall pick by the Barako Bull Energy Boosters.
He was last seen with the Blackwater Elite in 2015, where he sported a lizard haircut that went viral worldwide.
After a dismal season, Menor decided to try his luck in the US and served as a middle school coach in Florida. (Alex Cerado)
