Miami Heat eyes on Demarcus Cousins
DeMarcus Cousins might be heading to South Beach after being released from the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Ira Winderman of Sun Sentinel, The Miami Heat has a chance to acquire the former All-Star center in hopes of making a deep playoff run.
Sun Sentinel reported that the Heat’s decision to part ways with Justise Winslow, James Johnson and Dion Waiters gave the team enough cap space to sign Cousins.
However, Miami still has to let go at least one of their three active players with the likes of Solomon Hill, Chris Silva, as well as three-time NBA champion and team captain Udonis Haslem.
Cousins was inactive to begin with after suffering an ACL in offseason.
Still, Boogie is still lethal in any contending teams. He last played with the Golden State Warriors in the 2018-19 where he averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the 30 games he played.
