NBA returns in Disney World on 22-team format
The NBA Board of Governors have approved to restart the season on July 31 at Disney World in Orlando Florida.
The league decided to make it a 22-team format in its season return based on the chances that these teams will make it to the playoffs.
13 teams from Western Conference and nine from Eastern Conference will play for the eight ‘seeding’ games to determine the a guarantee spot and placing in the playoffs.
Heading into Orlando are Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards for the Eastern Conference.
Meanwhile, the Western Conference will feature Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns
The NBA is expected to resume on July 31, while the NBA Finals will culminate on October 12 being the latest.
