NBA teams snub Blake Griffin in trade market
It seems that Blake Griffin’s value in the trade market has slowly diminished as the season progresses.
The Detroit Pistons are still stuck in no man’s in the Eastern Conference, ranking at the 11th spot with a 12-22 win-loss card.
It didn’t help the fact that the six-time All Star has produced an underwhelming averages of 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds at 3.3 assists per game right after he sustained a knee injury in the offseason.
According to James Edwards III ng The Athletic, the Pistons need to attach another asset to complete a Griffin trade package.
Only few NBA teams have expressed interest in acquiring the 2009 first overall pick due to his $173-million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2017 offseason.
Aside from his hefty contract, Griffin’s long history of injuries is also considered a risk in acquiring him in the long run.
It’s only a matter of time if the Pistons will aggressively find a trade partner for Griffin until the deadline.
