For the first game of the NCAA women’s volleyball semifinals, the Arellano Lady Chiefs will face the San Beda Lady Red Spikers 2pm. The Lady Chiefs have a twice-to-beat advantage against the Lady Spikers. The Mendiola-based squad ended the eight-straight winning streak of the Arellano Lady Chiefs.
Led by Cesca Racraquin, the Lady Spikers won their last elimination game against the Lady Chiefs last January 15. This time, it’s now-or-never for the San Beda team.
For the second game at 4pm, top seed De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers will go against the Perpetual Lady Altas. Similar to the Lady Chiefs, the Lady Blazers also have a twice-to-beat edge.
Cindy Imbo and Blanca Tripoli of Perpetual will have to beat the squad of Rachel Austero of Benilde.
The semifinals matches will be held at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
