The final roster of the Gilas Pilipinas for the FIBA World Cup was released on Wednesday, and some netizens were quick to poke fun at the lineup.
In a viral social media post, netizens created an alternate version of the final roster. In the post, they listed celebrities and other personalities with the same first name or surname as the players who made it to the final roster.
In their humorous rendition of the final 12, they replaced Kai Sotto with Vic Sotto; they inserted Ella Fajardo in place of June Mar Fajardo; Edu Manzano overtook AJ Edu; and Freddie Aguilar replaced Japeth Aguilar.
The other members of the alternate Gilas lineup are Rey Malonzo (Jamie Malonzo), Kelly Clarkson (Jordan Clarkson), Wendell Ramos (Dwight Ramos), Renz Verano (Rhenz Abando), Amy Perez (CJ Perez), RR Enriquez (RR Pogoy), Kit Thompson (Scottie Thompson), and fictional character Ravena (Kiefer Ravena).
