Netizens sad but salute Caluag’s effort
Despite settling for bronze, 2014 Asian Games gold medalists Daniel Caluag still got a salute from netizens on Twitter.
After bringing home the Philippines’ lone gold medal in Incheon in 2014, Caluag placed third behind Yoshitaku Nagasako of Japan and Indonesia’s Gusti Bagus Saputra.
With the win, he brought home the country’s seventh bronze medal.
The Philippines has one gold and seven bronze medals.
Congrats Daniel Caluag for winning 3rd place and bagging Bronze medal. He was the lone Gold medallist of the PHI in the 2014 Asian Games. I was really expecting that you can defend your title but good job anyways! Still a win! #BMXCycling #AsianGames #AsianGames2018 🇵🇭🥉
