Netizens were quick to pounce on Ricci Rivero after he confirmed his break-up with Andrea Brillantes, as social media users accused the basketball star of cheating.
Twitter users shared screenshots of a now-deleted IG story from former beauty queen and now Los Baños, Laguna councilor Leren Mae Bautista.
On her story, Bautista posted a close-up photo of Rivero.
To make it more intriguing, Rivero shared Bautista’s IG story, which he later deleted.
In addition, Awra Briguela, one of Brillantes’ close friends, posted cryptic tweets right after Rivero confirmed the breakup on Twitter.
“amackana gaslighter, manipulative. fcking cheater. Lol,” Briguela posted.
“Tang i***g toh, kala mo talaga ang linis,” the actor said on another tweet.
Here are other responses from netizens to the alleged cheating:
“ricci cheated on andrea for a beauty queen and advocate? ang chaka lang nung beauty queen ka tapos pumatol ka sa may girlfriend? Yikes.”
“I just wanna ask ricci rivero why you cheated on Andrea?”
“Hay naku ricci dika na nakuntento. Pormahang tita pala ang gusto mo eh HAHAHAHAHA.”
Two weeks ago, Rivero spent his birthday in Los Baños, where he helped Bautista in an outreach program. The councilor then shared photos with Rivero on her Instagram account, which added fuel to the fire.
The comment section of Bautista’s Instagram account has been restricted after netizens commented with accusations of cheating. (MJD)
