New York Prevails Over New Orleans, Nabs 6th Straight Win
New York Knicks cruised to a come-from-behind 122-112 overtime win against New Orleans Pelicans in the 2020-2021 NBA Season on Sunday (Monday in the Philippines) at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
Down by six points late in the regulation, the Knicks leaned on three-point conversions by Derrick Rose and Reggie Bullock to tie the count at 103-all and force an overtime.
It was all New York in the extension with Rose, Bullock and Nerlens Noel making it a 112-105 score before sealing the victory on free throws by Immanuel Quickley.
Julius Randle tallied double-double 33 points and 10 rebounds, while Rose chipped in 23 markers as the Knicks recorded its sixth straight win to improve to 31-27.
RJ Barrett contributed 18 markers, while Bullock and Nerlens Noel also hit double-digits in scoring with 15 and 12 markers, respectively, for the streaking New York.
Zion Williamson finished with 34 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Ingram added 22 and 19 markers as the Pelicans dropped to 25-32.
Meanwhile, Trae Young had 34 points and 11 assists, while Clint Capela added 25 points and 24 rebounds as Atlanta Hawks (31-26) prevailed over Indiana Pacers (26-30), 129-117.
