Cherry Ann Rondina is fully embracing her role as the leader of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, even if she is just a newcomer to the team.
According to the former University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses star, she is glad to share her experience with her Flying Titans teammates.
“Pinaninindigan ko ang pagiging leader ng team,” said Rondina, who decided to return to indoor volleyball after playing beach volleyball for the past four years.
“I always show kung pano ako magtrabaho at maglaro para madala ko mga teammates ko. At siempre, I’m happy na napapakita namin yun mga gustong ipagawa ng mga coaches namin,” she added.
Flying Titans head coach Dante Alinsunurin agreed that Rondina has provided positive vibes to the team as they opened the Premier Volleyball League Invitational with a 2-0 record.
“We’re thankful for her (Rondina’s) performance; she reciprocates the trust we’re giving her,” said Alinsunurin.
But Alinsunurin is also grateful for the overall improvement of his team as they aim to finally capture the PVL crown after four years of participation.
“Tumataas ang porsiyento sa lahat ng ginagawa namin,” he said. “Kahit sino sa kanila, pwede kong gamitin.
