No excuses for McCollough, SMB after Game 1 loss vs TNT
San Miguel Beermen import Chris McCollough is not taking any excuses after their Game 1 loss at the hands of the TNT KaTropa on Sunday.
The Beermen entered Game 1 of their Best of 7 Finals series affair barely two days after escaping Rain or Shine Elasto Painters for a seat in the finals.
San Miguel booked the last Finals ticket with a 98-95 victory over the Elasto Painter on Friday. On Sunday, however, the Beermen got a 96-109 beating at the hands of the KaTropa.
“That’s not an excuse. That’s our part to do out there and do our jobs. We have to limit our turnovers and take care of the ball our,” McCollough said after their game on Sunday.
“We’re gonna go to practice tomorrow and pay for it. Mentally, we got to get our bodies right and get a game plan together,” he said.
The San Miguel import, however, knows that the Beermen can still recover and win the crown.
“It’s Game 1. It’s a best-of-7. A lot of basketball to be played and just come out ready for next game,” he said.
