After three tight quarters, Rain or Shine made a run in the fourth period to turn the game around, 117-93, in the PBA on Tour exhibition games at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City on Friday.
The Elasto Painters lit up the Road Warriors from the perimeter to create a 24-point separation in the payoff period for their first win on the tour.
Anton Asistio drained five treys to tally a total of 22 points in 18 minutes of play for ROS.
Rey Nambatac dropped 14 of his 22 points in the fourth period while grabbing the runaway win.
Asistio said coach Yeng Guiao wants ROS to treat the exhibition just like any conference game.
“This is like a fresh start for us; we want to build good habits, and hopefully we can carry the good habits to the next conference,” he said.
Bong Galanza had 22 points for the Road Warriors, but they were not prepared for the Elasto Painters’ surge in the fourth period.
