No reunion with LeBron as Isaiah Thomas signs deal with Nuggets
By Mark Patriarca
As expected, Isaiah Thomas won’t be reunited with LeBron James in Hollywood as the 5’9 point guard has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $2-million offer of the Denver Nuggets.

Thomas is coming off his most disappointing season as a pro, seeing himself traded by the Boston Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers, then flipped by the Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The trades were a result of his struggles to bounce back from a debilitating hip injury that cost him the first half of the 2017-18 season. It could not have been the year Thomas envisioned after averaging 28.9 points per game and finishing as a dark horse MVP candidate in Boston in 2017.
Looking ahead, Thomas should link up with Will Barton to comprise one of the NBA’s highest-scoring bench tandems as he prepares to settle into a backup role behind the ascendant Jamal Murray before hitting free agency again in 2019.
If IT plays like the All-Star he was, though, this deal could be the stepping stone to a bigger contract next summer.
