No Rice, Pasta and Pizza Won’t Work for Bea Tan

Although low-carbs diet works for some people, it’s not for all.

On Instagram, Bea Tan emphasized that in achieving weight loss, calorie deficit might help, but not for those whose goal is fat loss. After all, healthy carbohydrates work in a balanced diet with portion control and sustainable eating habits.

“So even if you’re trying to go on a calorie deficit to lose weight, eating a well balanced meal and eating healthy is key. Im a strong believer of eating well/ better/ smarter. And smarter for me means including some days eating pizza. But for most days swapping more nutritious food to less nutritious ones,” says the fitspo volleybelle.

People always seem to ask if being fit means eating no rice or no pasta or pizza. That might work for some. Not for me. If you wanna achieve weightloss. You have to be in calorie deficit. (Eating less than the amount of energy to spend/ burn daily). No matter what your goals are, the quality of food that you eat is very important. If your goal is fat loss, it has to be in a healthy and sustainable way. And going on a restrictive diet like not eating the food you crave for. Rarely works. For me at least. How I feel. Is top priority. So a steady and more conservative approach no matter what your starting point is, is better than trying to lose so much very quickly, only to create unhealthy habits like starving yourself and skipping meals or not getting a good balance of your macros fat, protein and carbs. Yes. Carbs and fat. (I thought otherwise before but now I’m wiser) So even if you’re trying to go on a calorie deficit to lose weight, eating a well balanced meal and eating healthy is key.
