The National University Bulldogs are once again tipped as the favored team when the V-League Men’s Collegiate Challenge comes off the wraps on Wednesday, August 16, at the Paco Arena in Manila.
The Bulldogs are entering the fray not only as the defending champions but also as the reigning titlists in the UAAP, thus making them the team to beat.
Also competing are last year’s runner-up, the University of Santo Tomas Tiger Spikers, the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, the De La Salle University Green Spikers, and the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles.
Firming up the cast in the tournament organized by Sports Vision Management Group Inc. are the NCAA squads: University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas, Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, and San Beda University Red Spikers.
Games will be held every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and will be streamed on the official V-League Facebook page and Bola.TV.
The top four teams after the single-round eliminations will advance to the best-of-three semifinals, with the first and second-seeded teams squaring off with the fourth and third-ranked teams, respectively.
The finals will also be a best-of-three series, while the battle for the bronze is a one-game affair.
