National women’s volleyball team head coach Arthur “Odjie” Mamon sees a silver lining on the Rebisco and Choco Mucho teams as they close out their campaigns in the 21st Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Thailand.

Mamon, the head coach of University of Santo Tomas men’s seniors volleyball team, said that, while errors were still hounding the national team, improvements were present each day in the competition.

“Although we have been really erratic and started on the wrong foot, we can see the improvement each day we play,” Mamon said.

Mamon’s Choco Mucho ended up at sixth after bowing to Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu, 25-14, 25-11, 25-23, in the battle for fifth place game on Thursday, while the Rebisco team of coach Jorge Souza de Brito finished at seventh and last after losing all of their matches.
