Disappointment was evident among Filipino basketball fans as the NBA TV Philippines game lineup for Sunday excluded the highly anticipated NBA Summer League debut of Kai Sotto, center for the Orlando Magic.
The Cignal TV Facebook page received an influx of questions and negative comments from netizens, expressing their frustration over the absence of the Orlando-Detroit Pistons game in the schedule of games slated for broadcast on July 9.
“Catch kai sotto? e dapat nga first game pa lang yun na ipalabas nyo ahahaha.”
“Cignal TV ipalabas ninyo ang Game 1 ni Kai sa Linggo. Bakit Wala? Pati SPURS Wala?! Si Wemba at Kai lang panonoorin namin!!!”

Cignal TV clarified that the assignment of games to be aired on their NBA TV Philippines channel is determined by the NBA office itself.
“Our apologies for the confusion. All the programs on the channels we provide are dependent on the feed given by our Content Providers. Cignal does not have control over the schedules of the programs shown. Thanks,” Cignal TV said.
