Pacquiao vs Arum: A battle for unpaid broadcasting fees
By Mark Patriarca
Just two months after his fight with Lucas Matthysse, Manny Pacquiao is set for a clash again but this time, he doesn’t need to use his fist.
The fighting senator claims to have not yet received their share for the broadcasting rights from Top Rank Promotions of Bob Arum from their duel against Matthysse last July.
Based on the statement released by Pacquiao’s camp, 85-percent is the agreed share for MP Promotions, while Top Rank’s cut is the remaning 15.
The broadcasting fees are claimed to be at about $1.7 million dollars which was aired on ESPN on US, Canada and Puerto Rico in partnership with Top Rank.
The eight-division world champion is currently gathering all the documents to prepare for a legal battle against his former promoter.
