Carmelo Anthony’s physical game was a problem for Paul Pierce.
On a recent episode of “I AM ATHLETE,” Pierce described Anthony as a “bulldog” who would hurt him through his post-up game. Because of this, Pierce said he would rather guard LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and even Tracy McGrady before Anthony.
“I’d rather guard LeBron, Kobe, T-Mac, before Melo. He a bulldog. He going to be physical, post you up, hit you with a shoulder in the chest. You going to be hurting after the game. He going to make you feel this 30,” the 2008 NBA champion said.
Anthony and Pierce had some brutal wars during their respective careers, especially when ‘Melo’ played for the New York Knicks from 2011 to 2017. (MJD)
