Initiating confrontations appears to have become a recurring tendency for Meralco Bolts forward Allein Maliksi.
Once again, the ex-University of Santo Tomas sharpshooter found himself embroiled in a minor altercation during the 2023 PBA on Tour match against Terrafirma Dyip.
In a video clip posted on the PBA’s Instagram account, Maliksi expressed frustration after being
outboxed during a rebound play by Javi Gomez de Liano of the Dyip, leading to his irritation.
However, level-headed individuals from both the Bolts and the Dyip promptly stepped in to intervene and diffuse the situation between Maliksi and Gomez de Liano.

Commenting on the post, PBA fans voiced their disappointment with Maliksi’s tendency to incite conflicts and engage in brawls.
“Fake tough guy.”
“Naunahan lang sa puwestuhan, napikon agad si Maliksi. Hahaha.”
“Maliksi puro away lang alam kala mo napakahusay eh.”
“Iyakin yan si Maliksi. Akala mo papalag eh.”
“Maliksi puro ka ganyan, trust me you are not that guy. Hahaha.”
Over the past few seasons, Maliksi has frequently found himself entangled in altercations, with one notable incident being a recent chokehold on Barkley Eboña of the Converge FiberXers. (AC)
