PBA Postpones TNT, Terrafirma Games
The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has postponed the scheduled 2021 Philippine Cup matches of TNT Tropang Giga and Terrafirma Dyip in accordance with the league’s health and safety protocols.
In an announcement on Tuesday, the PBA said that the Wednesday matches of Tropang Giga’s game against Magnolia Hotshots and Dyip against Alaska Aces will be rescheduled to a later date.
The PBA said the postponement was after four Tropang Giga players “have returned tests that were either positive or need to be confirmed for COVID-19 under government-approved league protocols.”
“The four players are now isolated and will be tested again,” the league advisory said. “The rest of the team who tested negative are also isolated and will be retested.”
The Dyip players, meanwhile, all yielded negative results from COVID-19 but were still isolated as they were the previous opponent of the Tropang Giga.
With this, the league has issued a new set of Philippine Cup match-ups for Wednesday with
Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters taking on NorthPort Batang Pier at 3:00PM, while the Aces battles the Hotshots at 6:00PM.
