PBA slaps fines vs Garcia, Marcelo, Abueva and Belga
Following the highly-emotional encounters in the ongoing 2019 Philippine Cup semifinals, the PBA has slapped fines again against four personalities from the Rain or Shine and Phoenix.
The Elasto Painters is currently tied with the Magnolia Hotshots, 2-2, in their Best of 7 series while the Fuel Masters are trailing the San Miguel Beermen, 1-3.
Rain or Shine head coach Caloy Garcia has the heftiest of fines, as he will have to pay a total of P22,400 due to his vocal disappointment over the calls in Game Four against the Hotshots.
Garcia got ejected late in the third quarter of Game Four which the Elasto Painters lost, 91-92.
Elasto Painters big man Beau Belga has also been penalized P3,400 for incurring technical fouls.
Meanwhile, Dave Marcelo and the enigmatic Calvin Abueva have also been fined for their actions in Game Four of the Phoenix Pulse-San Miguel Beer series two nights ago.
Marcelo got fined P20,000 for his facial hit on San Miguel’s Christian Standhardinger, which led to his ejection in the game that saw the Fuel Masters take their first semis win, 92-90.
On the other hand, Abueva has to dish out P3,400 due to technical fouls.
