Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry tired of Anthony Davis situation
New Orleans Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry has had enough talking about the Anthony Davis situation and scolded reporters, forbidding them from asking him about it.
A tweet from Scott Kushner says, “Gentry admits he’s exhausted of talking about Anthony Davis. Said the team needs to move on from talking about it. Gentry said he won’t talk about it anymore.”
Though AD requested for a trade, the Pelicans are still utilizing him on the court. He is going to be traded in the summer, and soon the perfect match between Davis and Gentry will come to an end.
Furthermore, the NBA denied allegation reports from ESPN which stated that they were going to fine New Orleans $100,000 per game if they sat a healthy AD.
Coach Gentry is truly exhausted about the whole Davis thing and said that he needed to focus more on winning games for his team after the NBA All-Star break. It looks like his dream of bringing the championship to New Orleans with Davis would just be a big disappointment, but Gentry remained steadfast amidst the chaos, keeping the focus on basketball itself. This seasons has certainly been the most challenging for him.
Davis will be playing for Team LeBron at the All-Star game in Charlotte and might get plenty of question about his future plans in the league. (Janiel Abby Toralba)
