Penny Estacio is moving from one school with the term “Animo” to another.
The sophomore guard has decided to leave the De La Salle University Green Archers and transfer to the San Beda University Red Lions.
According to Estacio, he chose to join the Red Lions because he sees himself having more opportunity to play there.
“I chose San Beda because if I am being practical, dito ako pinaka may opportunities. I am also familiar with the school and people as I studied here when I was in high school,” Estacio said.
“I’m also very excited to play with my NCAA Season 100 teammates; I’ll be playing again with my former teammates, and that’s something I’ll be looking forward to,” he added.
Estacio, who also played for San Beda in high school, said he was grateful to the Green Archers for giving him an opportunity to play in his rookie year.
“Of course I’m very grateful for the trust they gave me in my rookie year. I learned a lot during my stay at DLSU, and I’m taking it wherever I go,” Estacio said.
Estacio will serve a residency for a year before suiting up for the Red Lions in NCAA Season 100 next year.
