PH fans in Macau showers Ronald Tubid with cheers
Ronald Tubid just came out of nowhere!
The San Miguel Beermen just proved that they are the best team in the country by beating Ryukyu Golden Kings, 101-92, to become the only PBA team to book a semifinal ticket in the East Asia League Terrific 12 on Thursday.
Dez Wells had a terrific outing of 42 points, while Terrence Romeo sparked 18 markers for the Beermen.
However, it was the veteran Tubid who got the loudest cheers from the PH crowd in Macau.
The netizens were quick to ride on the Tubid-wave, as the rarely-used forward finally got the taste of playing time again.

The reason why the 37-year-old Tubid received a warm welcome from the fans is that he used to play for Barangat Ginebra, and he was also a fan-favorite at that time.
SMB coach Leo Austria answers a Chinese scribe’s question– asking who Ronald Tubid is and why fans chanted his name–and coach introduced the bearded veteran to him–someone who used to play for @GinebraNation –“he’s really good.”
