PH football teams beaten again
The Philippines men’s Under-22 and women’s national football teams suffered losses in the preliminary round of the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The men’s team lost to Thailand, 2-0 on goals from Promsawat’s header in the 28th minute and a Kannoo strike in stoppage time in the first half. The two goals were enough for Thailand to secure the win.
The Filipinas, on the other hand, suffered their second straight setback in the biennial meet after bowing 6-0 to Myanmar.
The Filipinas won their opening game against Malaysia, 2-1 but lost to Vietnam, 3-0 in their second outing.
