PH volleybelles score first win in 36 years in Asiad
After a 0-2 slide, the Philippine national women’s volleyball team finally scored a win against Hong kong, 25-18, 25-21, 25-22, in the ongoing 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia Thursday.
Alyssa Valdez and Jaja Santiago led the Philippines with 14 and 12 markers each.
With the win, the Pinays will now have a bigger chance in competing in the quarterfinals.
Philippines suffered a lost against Thailand, 22–25, 12–25, 15–25, and Japan, 12-25, 15-25, 21-25.
Next match of the Pinays will be against April Manganang and Indonesia on Saturday, August 25.
