PH women’s beach volleyball team beats Singapore for SEA Games bronze medal
The Philippine women’s beach volleyball team seized the bronze medal in the 2019 SEA Games after sweeping Singapore in its last round-robin match on Friday.
The duo of Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons was the first to deliver for the Philippines, eking out a decisive 21-17, 21-13 decision over the Singaporeans’s first tandem.
Meanwhile, Dzi Gervacio and Dij Rodriguez made it a double victory and cement the third-place finish for the country after logging a 21-18, 21-16 victory.
Thailand’s undefeated powerhouse team bagged the gold, while Indonesia copped the silver medal.
