Roger Pogoy pull off a career game to power TNT KaTropa past rivals Barangay Ginebra, 104-96, for their third straight win in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The third-year guard out of FEU recorded a career-best 38 points built on 10 three-pointers, becoming only the fourth local player in league history to shoot that many threes in a game.
Pogoy joined Allan Caidic, Kenneth Duremdes, and Marcio Lassiter as the only local players who hit 10 triples or more in a game, according to PBA statistics head Fidel Mangonon.
Pogoy also had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals to put Ginebra on a back-to-back loss after being manhandled by Rain or Shine on Sunday.
TNT has gone 5-1 to force a three-way tie with NorthPort Batang Pier and Blackwater Elite at the top of the rankings.
