POW Justine Baltazar is all about health and wellness

Justine Baltazar is La Salle’s “import”, according to head coach Gian Nazario.

But the 6-foot-9 tower might be better than most imports in UAAP right after he came away with a 20-20 game.

Baltazar was a force with his 25 point-25 rebound performance in La Salle’s complete annihilation against NU on Sunday.

With that rare 20-20 game, the Pampanga native was hailed as this week’s Chooks-to-Go Collegiate Press Corps UAAP Player of the Week.

“When was the last time a local had a 25 and 25 in the UAAP? I mean, again, yan ang resulta ng ginagawa ni Balti during practices. He works really hard. He takes care of his body really well, and it shows in the game,” said La Salle head coach Gian Nazario.

Although the Season 81 Mythical Team member is a total workhorse, he sure knows how to take good care of his body.

“Nag-eextra (work) ako sa practice namin, and then inaaral ko kung saan ako mahina. Inaalagaan ko katawan ko,” Baltazar shared.

Baltazar edged out Ken Tuffin of FEU, Thirdy Ravena of Ateneo, and Senegalese Alex Diakhite of UE for the weekly recognition.
