President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will personally attend the opening of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup today at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
On Friday morning, a report by DZRH confirmed that the Chief Executive will attend the event, which will feature the Gilas Pilipinas-Dominican Republic game as the main highlight.
The report added that the Philippine National Police (PNP) has already secured the Iglesia ni Cristo-owned venue to prepare for the arrival of President Marcos.
This will be the second time President Marcos will attend a FIBA basketball event after also personally watching a Gilas Pilipinas game in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers last year.
