Pringle traded to Ginebra for Mercado, Ferrer, Cruz

Stanley Pringle has been traded to Ginebra to form a stacked backcourt with LA Tenorio and Scottie Thompson.

Under the terms of the deal, Pringle joined the Gin Kings in exchange for Sol Mercado, Kevin Ferrer, and Jervy Cruz, who are all headed to NorthPort.

Drafted first overall in the 2014 PBA Rookie Draft, Pringle is set for a fresh start after spending all of his five seasons in the PBA with the Batang Pier.

Pringl has yet to see action the ongoing PBA Commissioner’s Cup after undergoing surgery to remove bone spurs in his right ankle.

Meanwhile, Ferrer and Cruz, both former UST Tiger standouts, will be linked up anew with their collegiate coach Pido Jarencio.

Mercado also returns to the GlobalPort franchise where he had two stints before, his last in being in 2014.
