PSC grants AJ Lim full fund assistance
Philippine Tennis prodigy and juniors world no. 23 Alberto “AJ” Lim received a 700 thousand full assistance from Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) as he continues to participate in the remaining tournaments of ITF circuit.
According to Philippine Lawn Tennis Association Secretary General Romeo Magat, Lim originally requested for 2 Million worth of assistance yet PSC granted 700 thousand which may aid his expenses for this year’s competitions.
Meanwhile, after giving world no. 3 Ulises Blanch a stunning upset in the second round of Roland Garros, the young netter succumbed to Marvin Moeller with a straight-set defeat.
Lim, who will play for UE Red Warriors Lawn Tennis team in the upcoming UAAP season, will represent Philippines in next year’s Asian Youth Games, SEA Games, Davis Cup and Youth Olympics in 2018.
Lim might also be seen in action in the last two grand slam tournament for this year such as Wimbledon and US Open as well as in other premiere competitions in the ITF juniors.
