Sports analyst Quinito Henson faced criticism from netizens after sharing an alleged fake tweet attributed to Kevin Durant regarding Kai Sotto.
Henson shared a tweet in which it seemed that KD expressed admiration for Sotto, who is currently a member of the Orlando Magic’s lineup for the NBA Summer League.
“I haven’t played with him, but after seeing it today, it’s gotta be Kai Sotto,” read the edited tweet in response to a question about the most underrated player Durant has played with.
In his caption, Henson exuded sheer delight over the purported acclaim for Kai, despite its falsity.
“This supposedly came from KD!! Wow! Wonder if its real? What an affirmation!” Henson stated. “Kai showed a lot of promise in his 1st NBA Summer League game today with 6 pts 4 rebs 3 blks 1 asst in 13:23 mins! Go Kai!”

“It takes 1 minute to check if the tweet is legit, Dean.”
“Uso po ‘yung pag-check if legit or not.”
“A simple search will do before posting this.”

In response to someone who presented evidence proving the tweet’s falsity, Henson replied with: “Thanks, even if fake, Ok na rin hahaha.”
