Greg Zuerlein kicked a 57-yard field goal in over-time Sunday to lift the Los Angeles Rams to a 26-23 NFL playoff victory over the New Orleans Saints to capture a berth in Super Bowl 53.

The longest playoff field goal in Rams’ history clinched the greatest playoff comeback in franchise history after they fell behind the host Saints 13-0 in the noisy Superdome in the National Conference final.

The Rams advanced to the February 3 NFL championship spectacle in Atlanta against the winner of the American Conference final later Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.

Rams coach Sean McVay, 32, became the youngest coach to ever reach the Super Bowl, four years younger than Pittsburgh’s Mike Tomlin when his Steelers won Super Bowl 43.

The Rams, who never led until the final play, seek their fourth NFL crown but their first in Los Angeles in the Super Bowl era.

The team won NFL titles in 1945 based in Cleveland, 1951 based in Los Angeles and by winning the 2000 Super Bowl while based in St. Louis. The franchise lost two other Super Bowl appearances in 1980 (Los Angeles) and 2002 (St. Louis).
