Ravena, Teng reunited after eight years
From being UAAP arch rivals, Kiefer Ravena of Ateneo and Jeron Teng of La Salle will play on the same side for the Philippine-Mighty Sports team during the Dubai International Basketball Championship slated February 18 to 25.
This will mark the first time that Ravena and Teng will be playing together since they donned national colors for the U-16 national team eight years ago.
Ravena and Teng both won two championships in the UAAP.
Joining former UAAP MVP Ravena and and reigning UAAP Finals MVP Teng are Gilas naturalized center Marcus Douthit, Ginebra’s Governor Cup import Justin Brownlee, as well as PBA stars TY Tang and two-time MVP Willie Miller.
The squad will be coached by basketball analyst Charles Tiu, brother of Rain or Shine guard Chris Tiu.
Teng just led La Salle to its second championship in four years this season, while the former King Eagle Ravena is currently in the United States to train with NBA D-League Texas Legends. (Alex Cerado)
