Ravena powers Ateneo over FEU


Ferdinand Ravena III unleashed another productive playmaking chores as he tow Ateneo De Manila into solo lead in their third consecutive victory with a masterful 94-82 win over Far Eastern University, 94-82, in the first round of elimination of the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ravena collected a total of 18 points along with 11 rebounds, five assists and a block in 27 minutes of play to ease the challenge off the back of the Blue Eagles as against the dangerous Tamaraws.

Ravena also had two of Ateneo’s seven triples in the first period where the Blue Eagles posted a 34-22 lead.

Ateneo posted its biggest lead at 18 points after raining the Tamaraws with trey and never look back. The Tamaraws could only come close to eight points and dropped to a 1-2 win loss card.

The Blue Eagles converted a total of 12 on their 34 tries from beyond the arc and sink 12 of its total of 15 free throws in the game to stay being one of only two teams with immaculate record with the other one being the defending champion and arch rival De La Salle.

c also had 16, Matt Nieto contributed 11 and Vince Tolentino added 10 more points.
