Robinson, Domingo banned for one game

Lyceum of the Philippines head coach Topex Robinson has been banned for one-game by the NCAA.

The league imposed the sanction after Robinson incurred successive technical fouls in the second quarter of the Pirates game against the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals last Thursday in the 93rd NCAA basketball tournament.

College of Saint Benilde guard JJ Domingo also got the boot for unsportsmanlike conduct in the Blazers’ 101-71 loss against San Sebastian.

Domingo was ejected after committing a flagrant foul against Allyn Bulanagi in the game.

“Yes, they are suspended,” said NCAA Management Committee chair Fr. Glyn Ortega, OAR, of host San Sebastian referring to Robinson and Domingo.

Ortega added the league has yet to tackle the case of Perpetual Help coach Nic Omorogbe who had an outburst after the Altas lost to the Knights, 63-61.
