Romeo out for one to two weeks due to Achilles injury
San Miguel guard Terrence Romeo, who has yet to play this 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, has been nursing an Achilles, Beermen head coach Leo Austria bared.
“Terrence will be out one or two more weeks,” said Austria after SMB’s 97-110 loss to TNT KaTropa Saturday night.
“Yung Achilles is still may inflammation. He was advised by the doctor to rest.
Romeo has been advised to rest due to the injury, which he has been nursing since the 2019 Philippine Cup Finals.
“Nakita niyo naman yung nilaro niya noong Game Six at Seven. Dumepensa siya ng husto para kay [Mark] Barroca at [Jio] Jalalon … kita naman natin. And then na-aggravate yung kaniyang Achilles,” Austria said.
The former Far Eastern University standout, along with Chris Ross, missed the Beermen’s first game of the mid-season conference versus NorthPort Batang Pier last June 5 where they received a harsh 88-121 beating.
Ross, though, has returned played versus the KaTropa where he logged nearly 40 minutes and finished with 9 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds.
