Terrence Ross came off the bench to score a game-high 28 points and Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic added 23 points and 12 rebounds Sunday, sparking Orlando over Toronto 113-98.
The Raptors, who played without star Kawhi Leonard, fell to 44-17 and slid two games behind Milwaukee for the best record in the NBA and the Eastern Conference.
Leonard was benched to manage his workload, the Raptors said.
The Magic improved to 28-33 and rank ninth in the East, one game behind Charlotte for the final playoff position in the conference.
Jonathan Isaac added 16 points and D.J. Augustin added 12 for the Magic.
Kyle Lowry had 19 points and 10 assists for Toronto while Marc Gasol added 16 points among six double-figure scorers for Toronto.
In Sunday’s later games, the New York Knicks, with the NBA’s second-worst record at 11-48, entertain San Antonio and the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Denver Nuggets.
