San Beda dominates Arellano at NCAA Women’s Volleyball

The San Beda Lady Spikers overpowered the defending champions Arellano University Lady Chiefs in a thrilling 5-set match at the FilOil Flying V Center this Tuesday.

The Lady Spikers ended the eight-game winning streak of the Lady Chiefs scoring 16-25, 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 16-14, concluding the elimination round in a similar fashion with both College of St. Benilde and Arellano University in an 8-1 win/loss record.

Nieza Viray led the Lady Spikers to victory with 17 points, 19 digs, with the help of Cesca Racraquin’s 16 points, 15 digs for the San Beda.

Meanwhile, Nicole Ebuen garnered 23 points for the Lady Chiefs, with Princess Bello scoring 12 points and Regine Arocha with 10 points.

The Lady Spikers will engage the Lady Chiefs again for the Final Four of the NCAA starting Tuesday next week.
