San Miguel spark late comeback to beat TNT


The San Miguel Beermen drubbed TNT KaTropa, 107-96, in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup, on Saturday in Calasiao, Pangasinan.

Down by 85-90, the San Miguel Beermen sparked a 13-2 run to turn into a 98-92 advantage.

San Miguel would never look back, as they secures their first back-to-back wins after overcoming a 75-86 lead to start the final period.

Kevin Murphy was one dish away from tallying a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. Christian Standhardinger wound up 21 points, while Arwind Santos added 18.

San Miguel currently owns a 4-4 win-loss card to make sure that their playoff hopes are still alive.

Import Marqus Blakely led TNT with 26 points. RR Pogoy scored 21 points, while Terrence Romeo was good at 18 points.

TNT suffered its first loss under the hands of new head coach Bong Ravena and consultant Mark Dickel.
