Santiago powers NU to come-from-behind win vs DLSU

Jaja Santiago came up big in the fifth set to lift National University to a pulsating win over De La Salle University 26-24, 19-25, 22-25, 25-17, 16-14 in women’s volleyball of UAAP Season 80 at the Fil-Oil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

Behind 8-5 in the final set, the Lady Bulldogs rallied behind their towering middle blocker to tie the game at 13-all.

The Lady Spikers managed to stop the bleeding at 14-13 before Santiago showed her mettle in the end game to keep NU’s immaculate record at four wins in four games.

Santiago finished the game with 27 points, 20 attacks, four blocks and three aces to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

DLSU suffered its first loss in four games.
